Volkswagen announced that US pricing for the 2010 Golf TDI will start at $21,990 for the 2-door and $22,590 for the 4-door. You can read all about the 2010 Golf TDI in our previous write-up.
The pricing is about what we would expect given that the TDI comes equipped essentially as a premium model with many of the accouterments found in the upscale GTI. Features like a sport suspension, handsome 17″ aluminum wheels, 6-speed manual or DSG direct shift gearbox, as well as premium interior appointments like a leather steering wheel and shifter go a long way to raising the appeal of the Golf TDI.
Estimated fuel-economy for the 2010 Golf TDI comes in at 29/40 mpg; though the EPA’s website rates it at 30/42 mpg.
