We spent all last week at the 2009 Specialty Equipment Manufacturer’s Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. It is ground zero for all that is new and good for the aftermarket realm of our automotive realm. This year, Volkswagen did not have a big booth but a new 2010 Golf TDI appeared totally decked out by H&R Springs.
The striking and very much GTI looking Golf VI TDI sported a number of factory VW accessories like a complete sport body kit, aluminum pedals, dead pedal and some nice embroidered TFI floormats.
Those wheels were provided by OZ, their Ultraleggera HLT 20-inchers. Yep…they actually fit under there! Underneath the new 2010 Golf TDI was a full compliment off H&R suspension goodies including their new Ultra Performance Coil Over spring & strut set, H&R Sport Sway Bars, and a well needed set of H&R Trak+ wheel spacers.
Slick graphics and a pair of big thick exhaust tips rounded out the look. We expect that the new 2010 Golf TDI will be a hit this year. And as long as the aftermarket sports tuner companies continue to embrace as this example portends, it will be a cool running for VW.
